Bespoke Ferrari Pays Tribute to Dominant 2004 Hungarian Grand Prix Win

Ferrari’s bespoke ‘Atelier’ department has revealed a special edition one-off Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano, paying homage to one of Scuderia Ferrari’s most iconic victories – the 2004 Hungarian Grand Prix. The unique model commemorates the dominant performance of the Ferrari F2004 race car, which secured a 1-2 finish, fastest lap, and the Constructors’ Championship.

The limited-edition Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano features unique touches inspired by the historic F2004 victory. The car, finished in Bianco King white, bears the number “1” on the nose in the original font. The iconic three-layer metallic Rosso F1 red from the F2004 Formula 1 car is used throughout the design, complemented by Bianco King details on the front, rear, roof, and lower flanks.

This unique model is part of the Ferrari 296 Assetto Fiorano series, and all five units are destined for Hungarian customers. The first one was unveiled in Budapest, emphasizing the connection to the memorable Hungarian Grand Prix.

Under the hood, the Ferrari 296 GTB is powered by an 819-horsepower plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V6 engine, marking the return of a V6 to Ferrari since the Dino. The car boasts a 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph. The Assetto Fiorano package, designed for track-focused performance, includes carbon-fiber components for weight reduction and Multimatic shock absorbers derived from GT racing.

Distinctive features of this special edition include the use of the Bianco King and Rosso F1 colors, along with the application of the number “1” and the original font from the F2004 race car. The interior showcases seats with the Hungaroring track outline and Hungarian flag stitched on the headrests, along with four-point safety harnesses.

While the standard Ferrari 296 GTB is priced around $340,000, the bespoke nature of this one-off model is likely to command a premium, especially given its unique tribute to the historic F2004 victory.
