Florida-based Tuning Company Enhances Exotic Look and Potential Weight Reduction

Florida-based tuning company 1016 Industries has officially introduced a comprehensive carbon fiber replacement program for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992). The program, designed in collaboration with 9design, completely replaces plastic exterior trim pieces with carbon fiber equivalents, offering an exotic aesthetic and potential weight reduction.

The carbon fiber conversion kit, aimed at the new 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, includes replacement components for the side skirts, front lip, complete front bumper assembly, wing mirror caps, rear wing end plates, front wheel arch vents, hood vents, and full rear bumper and diffuser. The modifications, though subtle from a distance, showcase meticulous design and restraint, enhancing the vehicle’s overall appearance.

Notably, the kit excludes a full carbon fiber hood, as it is already available from Porsche as an option with the Weissach package. While the kit focuses on exterior enhancements, it does not modify the vehicle’s engine, retaining the stock 518-horsepower 4.0-liter flat-six.

1016 Industries has yet to provide specific details on the weight reduction achieved by the carbon fiber components. Ongoing weight analysis is expected to yield more information in the coming weeks. The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS has a base weight of 3,268 pounds.

As the company announces that the kits are available for order, exact pricing details are yet to be disclosed. While the cost is anticipated to be substantial, the kit provides a unique and restrained approach to making the GT3 RS stand out, complementing the vehicle’s performance without extravagant modifications.

In addition to the carbon fiber kit, enthusiasts may consider aftermarket exhaust and tuning options to further enhance the Porsche 911 GT3 RS driving experience.
